I have been using designer on my PC but I now have a Mac laptop that I would like to set up to share the same workspace but I can’t get the Mac to load up the workspace properly.
My workspace is synced between both machines using AeroFS so if I close designer on my PC I figure I should be able to open the same workspace on my Mac, but when I do all I get is a blank workspace where it doesn’t show any of my files or folders, etc.
Is there a difference in how Mac’s use workspaces that makes it impossible to share them between two different operating systems?
Has anyone attempted this before?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance.
It is possible to share CloverETL Designer workspace between instances. There are not any differences how Mac, Windows or Linux version of CloverETL Designer works with workspace. I tested AeroFS to share a workspace between Windows and Linux version of CloverETL and it works correctly.
Could you please tell me what version of CloverETL Designer are you using? Are you sure all files from workspace are synchronized via AeroFS when you starting CloverETL Designer? Could you try using another workspace sharing instead of AeroFS (e.g. via a network sharing)?
There does seem to be some issues with the file syncing. I have less files on my Mac than I do on the PC. I’ll track that down and try it again after making sure I have everything.
