Athena API access

Hi Team,

I am new to this tool. I am working in a small health care company, and we will planning to use the cloverETL to integrate with our CCM application. But the challenge which i am facing is, our customers will use the different EHR applications. Now to integrate with all different applications.

Now i am playing with this tool to communicate with one of famous EHR application called Athena. Athena has API so, now i would need your help how can i access the Athena API’s to cloverETL? And how did we get the patients information Athena?

If anyone has come across this graph and developed it that would really help to me to implement.

A quick response will really appreciated.

Thanks,
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,

Although I am not familiar with Athena API requirements, I believe that you can use a component called HTTPConnector. It can send HTTP requests to a web APIs and receive responses. For more information about this component, please see the documentation:

http://doc.cloveretl.com/documentation/UserGuide/index.jsp?topic=/com.cloveretl.gui.docs/docs/httpconnector.html

It is actually a usual requirement, therefore an example of the solution is already part of the CloverETL Designer installation. Go to Help → CloverETL Examples and select any of the listed examples. It will load projects with all examples and you can then navigate to Basic Examples → Graph → WebServicesHTTP.grf in the Navigator pane on the left side of the Designer screen.

Hope this helps. Best Regards,

Eva

First of all have you set up the deal with Athena to use their APIs. Because I think they are not free. Most EHR systems like Athena, EPIC, blueEHR do not offer free API. Well that is my guess. But then you can access their APIs for a smaller cost. Try contacting them for the API documentation. Without their API documentation on how to use their APIs I don’t think you will be able to work with the APIs.
