Hi - I’m cannot get Pivot to work. See below for the error messages:
Message: Denormalization failed!
Message: Method getOutputFieldIndex failed.
Message: Field “Grade Adjusted Literacy CPL” doesn’t exist in output metadata!!!
How do I generate output metadata? Doesn’t “field defining output field name” automatically know what the output metadata is?

There are a few option to creating metadata which you can read more about here, the simplest way would be to right click on the edge and click on New Metadata - User Defined (here you can create your own custom metadata). I have taken the liberty of sending you a screenshot of this.
To answer your second question, only in certain components does the metadata automatically propagate to the output for example in the case of the ExtFilter and ExtSort, in most cases you need to specify the output metadata.
