We’re running CloverETL Server on Linux/Ubuntu. When I add an EXT_SORT component I see that Properties/Advanced/ Temp Directories has a grey value of “D:\temp2\2\(default system temp directory)”. This seems completely wrong for an Ubuntu installation. How/where do I change the default temp directories setting?

When you set property “Temp directories” in the CloverETL Designer, the server tries to use this path on server environment. So you should use directories inside sandbox for storing temporary files, which are accessible on server too. E.g. ${DATAIN_DIR}/tempdir
Please note, this behavior is in older versions of CloverETL. Since CloverETL version 3.3.0, location for temporary files on server is managed by “Temp Space Management”. For more information see the documentation:

In the CloverETL designer, the temp space is defined by the property “java.io.tmpdir”.
