CloverETL Designer on OS X

Hello

I have a problem installing CloverETL Designer on Apple OS X. Here is my setup and steps I took:

Mac OS X 10.5.6
Eclipse Platform Version: 3.4.2 Build id: M20090211-1700
Clover update: http://www.clovergui.net/eval-update/

I can log in and start the installation, but I get the following error.

“Cannot complete the request. See the details.
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements org.eclipse.ui [3.4.2.M20090204-0800].”

Hi,
I’ve tried installing eval version of CloverETL Designer on Eclipse 3.4.1. That’s a slightly different version of Eclipse than yours, but it’s definitely not the one reported in the error message (it’s older). The install worked fine. Did you install CloverETL Designer in a clean Eclipse installation?

It was a clean install of Eclipse 3.4.2 plus FlexBuilder plugin from Adobe.

I’ll try installing using the same Eclipse version as you. Could you please try installing without the FlexBuilder plugin?

I tried it on fresh installation of Eclipse
Eclipse Platform Version: 3.4.2 Build id: M20090211-1700
All worked fine.

It still does not work on my main version of Eclipse. It seem there must be some kind of clash with other plugins, here is what I have installed :
Eclipse Platform Version: 3.4.2 Build id: M20090211-1700
- SVN connectors for the Eclipse Subversive
- FlexBuilder

Hi,
I’m glad the reinstall helped. You could try to install the other plugins you need (FlexBuilder …) to the new Eclipse installation, it should work (different plugins should not be able to disable each other). Sometimes the plugin system of Eclipse goes bad and you need to start from scratch.
