We have over 300 Event Listeners that errored out while updating the server. Is there a way we can mass update these instead of resetting the state one by one?

Hi Tamara,

There are two ways to mass-reset failed listeners:

1. Create a [Monitor in the CloverDX Server web console → Monitoring](https://doc.cloverdx.com/latest/operations/ops-dashboard.html) and add all the listeners into it. This allows you to reset all listeners within the monitor at once. If you already have a monitor containing all relevant listeners (or multiple monitors), this becomes a very straightforward operation. If you need to create a new monitor and add all listeners at once, it can still be somewhat tedious.

2. Use the CloverDX Server REST API. The `GET /listeners` operation returns all listeners, including their current state and a link for resetting them via the `POST /listeners/{listenerId}/reset-status` operation. You can then automate the reset process programmatically—for example using a CloverDX job that calls these endpoints.
More details about both operations can be found in the [REST API documentation available directly on your CloverDX Server](https://doc.cloverdx.com/latest/operations/rest-api.html).

Hope this helps,

Lukas

I would probably add that you can also use MCP server + your favorite mighty LLM (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) which can help with the task.

See [CloverDX MCP Server | CloverDX 7.4.1 Documentation](https://doc.cloverdx.com/latest/admin/server-config-mcp.html)

With that many failed Event Listeners I would avoid the manual reset route all together. The most efficient way is probably to use the CloverDX REST API – query all failed listeners and then automate the reset-status call in bulk. You can get started by looking at the REST API docs: [https://doc.cloverdx.com](https://doc.cloverdx.com). If this is a thing that could happen again after upgrades, it’s worth turning the process into a reusable CloverDX job so Event Listener recovery is a one-click operation instead of managing hundreds individually.
