# Any component to read data from web service

Hi,

Is there any component to read data from a web service?  
SOAP based or REST based?  
Available in community edition or not ?

I could not find anything in docs,  
[http://doc.cloveretl.com/documentation/ … /index.jsp](http://doc.cloveretl.com/documentation/UserGuide/index.jsp)

Please suggest available options and alternates,

Hi Madan,

There are two components able to connect to web services.

1. The REST based component [HTTPConnector](http://doc.cloveretl.com/documentation/UserGuide/topic/com.cloveretl.gui.docs/docs/httpconnector.html) available in community edition,
2. or the SOAP based component [WebServiceClient](http://doc.cloveretl.com/documentation/UserGuide/topic/com.cloveretl.gui.docs/docs/webserviceclient.html), that is not available in community edition.  
Both of them you can find on Palette in “Others“ components.
