Re: CloverETL Designer on OS X

Hi Mac,
I'll try installing using the same Eclipse version as you. Could you please try installing without the FlexBuilder plugin?

Thanks!

Re: CloverETL Designer on OS X

Hi, I've tried installing eval version of CloverETL Designer on Eclipse 3.4.1. That's a slightly different version of Eclipse than yours, but it's definitely not the one reported in the error message (it's older). The install worked fine. Did you install CloverETL Designer in a clean Eclipse install...

Re: Can I integrate CloverETL's functionality into my java app?

Hi, Clover can indeed by embedded into your Java application. Some starting points are documented on our wiki (http://wiki.clovergui.net/doku.php?id=embedding_clover). You should download the CloverETL Engine (http://www.cloveretl.com/download/clover-etl/) and add all its JARs to the classpath. Plea...

Re: Plugin or just Components.xml

Hi, what do you mean by launching your plugin from Eclipse? Do you mean the CloverETL engine plugin? So the graph runs fine (with your custom component), but it's missing GUI support? Generally the Eclipse plugin allows you to add more that just custom components...for example connections and their ...

Hi, you can find the run configuration of the graph (in the Run -> Run configurations) and specify clover options there. Select the run configuration and in the first tab you can enter the Java memory size option. Alternatively you can specify any program and JVM arguments in the "Arguments&quo...

Hi,
please note that the description of random_string contains a note "since 2.7". The note means that the function is available from CloverETL engine version 2.7 and newer, and 2.7 wasn't released yet (it's the next up-coming version).

Hi, we've already seen such a problem which was caused by the client's local network configuration (proxy etc.). Can you try to download from the eval update site from some other network? Alternatively you can try to enable the classic update manager in Eclipse. You can find it in Preferences->Gener...

Are you sure you should use the class "ianywhere.ml.jdbcodbc.IDriver"? Because if the class follows the common naming conventions then it's an interface, not the actual JDBC implementation. Check if your JDBC URL really follows the requiremetns of the SQLAnywhere driver...

Hi, how do you add the driver? Do you click the top-most "+" button? You can also select multiple jar files, so you might try selecting all the jars (the driver may depend on other jars). If there's no JDBC driver in any of the selected jars, you should see the message "JDBC driver no...

Hi, you can access the DB through the URL in the CloverGUI or in some other tool? In general you can load a JDBC driver in the CloverGUI when creating a new DB connection. When you're creating a new DB connection (e.g. by right clicking on the Connections entry in the graph outline, and selecting Co...

Hi,
similar functionality is provided by the Clover Server, which can execute actions depending on some condition. For example "send an email if this graph fails" or "start cleanup graph if this graph finishes successfully".

Hi,
you are probably using an older version of the engine. I would recommend using the one bundled with the GUI. The other option is turning off tracking in the GUI, in Preferences->Clover.ETL->Tracking .
