Re: Known issues

Export to XML on Mac platform: OSX affected version: 0.9.0-beta1 On Mac, clicking on the "Export to XML" button in the Reporting Console does not ask to save the XML to a file, but the browser tries to display the XML itself. However it does not show the contents of the XML, just a blank ...

Re: Atrribute Reformat

Hi Indu,

use the Reformat component. In the component use a CTL transformation to populate the field values. The Attribute Reformat is a special component for use with the Initiate Identity Hub product.

Re: Correct way to execute SQL

Hi, DBExecute can work in 2 modes: 1) execute stored procedure - you have to indicate this by a parameter and then the results of the stored procedure are written to the output port of the component 2) execute a SQL query - this is the default, and the SQL query is executed by java.sql.Statement.exe...

Re: ASN format Transformation

Hi, could you please provide more details on the format? We don't have a special component for such a format, but there's several options: 1) it might be possible to read/write it using CloverETL's standard components (UniversalDataReader, ComplexDataReader, ...) 2) write your own component. See doc...

Re: Graph concurrency

Hi Franco, CloverETL Cluster version support additional concurrency features on top of the base (which is as you described - each node running as a separate thread). The Cluster version can split the execution of one graph onto multiple nodes for scalability and redundancy. Please see here for more ...

Re: Parallizing data in a flat file

Hi,

are you running CloverETL with a JRE or JDK? A JDK is required to run Java tranformations - and such a tranformation is used in the graph provided by Agata.

Re: Record start and finish time of a graph

Hi, you can use phases and DBExecute components for this: 1) first phase - DBExecute with a statement that writes current timestamp (e.g. something like UPDATE GraphTimestamps SET Start=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP , but the statement is database specific) 2) ordinary phases of your graph - let the graph do it...

Re: TransformationGraph instance to XML

Hi Franco, unfortunately the saving part of TransformationGraphXMLReaderWriter is not maintained, so no it's not possible currently. If you know your graph is simple and doesn't change that much you could write your own serialization code - format of the graph XML is not that complex. Best regards, ...

Re: Data Reader with Comma at EOL

Hi Glenn, could you please describe your problem in more details please? Do I understand it correctly that on the same computer the preview works OK (when creating metadata) but it doesn't work when editing metadata? Do you see some error message? On first thought I would expect some problems with l...

Re: Can't connect to DB in server project

Hi, this looks like you're not able to connect from your computer to the DB server. DB validation is currently performed from your client computer (running the Designer). You network can be configured so that the server can connect to the DB (i.e. the graphs will run OK) but your client computer can...

Re: Named Objects

Hi,
I'm not sure what do you mean by inconsistent object names. You should be able to use project-relative paths to reference external connections, metadata etc. Can you give me an example?

Hi,
which version of Designer do you have? Can you post related error from the "Error log" view (go to Window > Show View > Other > Error Log)?
