Re: Reader and Writer component for Cassandra

Hello, there are 3 options of how to connect to Cassandra from CloverDX: ⋅ Using a dedicated JDBC driver ⋅ Using the Datastax Java library ⋅ By calling a script The first option is not recommended as it appears that no one is actively maintaining or supporting JDBC conn...

Re: JsonExtract could not read second record of root array

Hello, in order to extract both fields from the array, try using this mapping: <Mappings> <Mapping element="json_array"> <Mapping element="json_array" outPort="0" xmlFields="{}id;{}name" cloverFields="id;name"> </Mapping> </Mapping> </Mappings> Attac...

Re: CloverETL Engine, graph edges

Hi Rifttech, I am a little bit on the fence as to what exactly you are looking for. Typically, when it comes to debugging data within the CloverDX framework, the data can be either viewed directly in the Designer or as Eva mentioned previously, the edge debug data can be pulled from the debug files....

Re: Partition data

Hi Mohamad, yes, there are a couple of different options on how to separate data into different outputs. Choosing the right one depends on some of the specific use case details, namely, whether there is a known number of the possible column values and then, also the number itself. In other words, if...

Re: Pull Underlined Text With Spreadsheet Reader

Hi Hesske, unfortunately, there is nothing else in CloverDX we can offer to handle this specific use case. Nevertheless, I have done some further research and found this interesting article about how to identify bold cells in Excel directly. I tried the third option (using VBA) which is pretty strai...

Re: XMLExtract - copying parent fields to child when parent fields are present after child element

Hello, as you rightly indicated, using the XMLExtract in this use case is not an ideal solution due to the way SAX parsing of XML files works. I have attached an example graph and 2 input files to demonstrate the following: ⋅ phase 0 - using XMLExtract to push the 'D001' value into the 'de...

Re: Pull Underlined Text With Spreadsheet Reader

Hi Hesske, I am afraid there is no native function that would be able to extract this type of Excel string format within CloverDX. However, there might be a different approach that we could take to parse this Excel file of yours. Would you mind providing us with a snippet of it? If it contains sensi...

Re: How to debug a jobflow?

Hi Mohamed, I am a little bit on the fence as to what you meant by "debugging jobflow" in the context of the parametrized components. Typically, we think of debugging in the following fashions: ⋅ Logging level (there are a couple of log levels one of which is called DEBUG which a...

Re: How to Add a field

Hello Mohamedosharif, I would suggest using the Reformat component to achieve your desired result. Create a copy of the metadata on the Reformat input edge, add a new "processed" field to this new metadata and assign it to the Reformat output edge. The transformation definition inside the ...

Re: JsonExtract could not read elements having SPACE

Hello Madan_clover3, in such a scenario, the JSONExtract component would not be a good candidate for the parsing. Due to the fact, that the space character " " is automatically replaced by the underscore "_" both elements would fuse into a single one ("abc_xyz") and the...

Re: Flatfile Reader - Character decoding error - Data Policy - Controlled and Lenient mode question

Hello Andrase, I do agree that the behavior of the system is not correct. Therefore, I have logged a new ticket into our JIRA describing this bug that you reported. Our development team will review and address this issue in a future release of CloverDX. Thank you for pointing this to our attention. ...
