Re: [DBOutputTable] Problem with date format (ORA-01847)

Hi I'm not able to reproduce the issue. When the Designer is provided with an invalid date, it would be able to catch such date before it gets into the database. Some NLS parameters can be configured in the metadata editor (advanced properties). However, if you change the NLS in CloverETL, it won't ...

Re: Dynamic Parameters

Yes , this is correct , but think abt the situation every single time the graph inititates the DB look up table has to be loaded , Would you think it is a good design ... The DB lookup table is not loading all the records from the database at the start of the graph. It works more like SQL interpret...

Re: [ParallelReader] How to skip first source row of .csv (header with fields)?

Hi Indeed, there is currently no such property as 'Number of skipped records' in the ParallelReader component, however, there is already an improvement proposal in our system. This property is not available due to the nature of the component. It uses multiple threads while each is reading only one p...

Re: Error executing Job Flow

Hi The jobflow can be run only in the CloverETL Server project, therefore you see the mentioned error message. If you want to get an evaluation copy of the CloverETL Server, please contact our sales . The only difference between evaluation and commercial copy of the Designer is the time limitation o...

Re: Easiest way to check a history file and only process new records

Hi pintail Probably the most suitable solution is to use the DataIntersection component which is designed to this kind of job. However, you will need to sort the inputs, so if you process large amount of data it can be memory or HDD space consuming (depending on which sort component you choose, your...

Re: Singleton Java Util in Graph

Hi Indeed, this is currently possible because all of the graphs (and their instances) share the same JVM. However, there is a high chance that this will change in some future version in order to increase stability of CloverETL software. Moreover, singletons are not officially supported, so in case o...

Re: Dynamic Parameters

Hi You can use DB Lookup Table for this purpose. You can connect it to a database table and then just look up the values in a similar way as if they were parameters. You can also enhance this approach and read the data from the lookup table in the jobflow, pass it to the graph parameters and then yo...

Re: Plugin for Custom CTL

Hi I assume that this question is closely related to your answer in this thread . There is much simpler solution than writing your own plugin. For more information, please see the other thread. If you don't need the complexity of Java language and the CTL2 is sufficient for your custom function, you...

Re: Customizing Clover Component

Hi 1. This behavior is already reported. I modified the ticket so it covers all the aspects that can be improved. You can see it here . 2. Could you, please, describe how exactly should it work? What type of lookup table should it work with? Should it look like some kind of context help? Etc. Best r...

Re: Use DBexecute to execute an oracle function of package

Hi In the SQL query property of DBExecute you cannot use CloverETL parameters (${param}) directly. You have to use question mark (?) instead. You can provide the parameters via query input/output mapping. Alternatively, for some simple functions, you can use DBInputTable, where it is possible to use...

Hi I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. When I insert some values into the serial data type, I'm able to read the correct values afterwards. Please, try to enter some custom values to the serial data type via PostgreSQL command line. Try to read it and if the result looks as you would expect, pleas...

Re: Customizing Clover Component

Hi

It is not possible for a user to customize the components. Could you please describe in detail how would you like to extend the component (editor) and what do you mean by that formatting? I could create improvement proposal, if the change will be beneficial for other users too.

Best regards

Re: MongoDBReader get object id

Hi The '_id' contains an object called ObjectId . This is why you get '_id = {"$oid" : "..."}'. Unfortunately, the MongoDBReader is not capable to obtain the string representation of the ObjectId. There are three approaches. You can parse the returned _id yourself using Reformat ...

Re: Retrieve Graphname

Hi Thomas I believe, there is no need to be concerned about the missing function. I assume you are using Designer version 4.0.x or former. That function was added in version 4.1.0, thus it is not available in earlier versions. If you are using version 4.1.0 or higher, please let me know. Best regards

Re: Retrieve Graphname

Hi Thomas The functions you mentioned are Java methods. If you want to get the graph name by a CTL2 function, please use this expression: $out.0.field1 = "${JOB_FILE}" That will return path with file name. In order to get only the file name you can use: $out.0.field1 = getFileName("${...
