Hi,

We are working on example components capable of writing and reading to/from the Kafka topics. We are going to release them as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Re: DBOutputTable error

The DBExecute is being used basically for every other operation besides select (DBInputTable), insert, update and delete (DBOutputTable). For example create table, manual begin and commit/rollback transaction, select and insert inside a database (not for (un)loading data from/to DB), etc. Best regar...

Re: DBOutputTable error

Hi Loris89, This is actually not an error it's just a warning and as such won't cause the graph failure. However, the graph (or the component) cannot inform you whether the fields in the DBOutputTable are compatible with the fields in the database and that may cause an error (if they don't match). T...

Re: Apache Kafka reader component.

Hi, Unfortunately, there are no official read/write components for Apache Kafka and the current readers cannot read the Kafka topics either. However, it is possible to write your own custom component based on the CustomJavaComponent . Documentation of the Apache Kafka API can be found here . Alterna...

Re: Open Excel File in Data-In folder to edit in clover ETL server project

Hi, Thank you for reporting this issue. There is already a ticket in our tracking system and the issue will be fixed in version 4.2.0. For the time being you can open the file in external editor by right-clicking on the file you want to open -> Open With -> Other ... -> External programs -> OpenDocu...

Re: Http Connector throwing an error, peer not authenticated.

Hi Raj, It seems that the server you are trying to send the request to, requires some form of authentication. I'm unable to help you better because of the insufficient information you have provided. I would like you to provide me with the following, so I can effectively help you. 1. Your graph file ...

Re: Disable CloverETL Server Simple HTTP API endpoint.

Hi, Unfortunately, this is currently not possible. However, maybe you can utilize the following workaround. You can create new user-group and forbid the execution permission for it. This way every user assigned to this group cannot execute graphs (in a specified sandbox) via the HTTP API as well as ...

Re: Custom Propagation??

Hi Darren, CustomJavaComponent currently cannot auto-propagate metadata, neither you can set its output metadata dynamically (by code). There is already a new feature proposal in our system, so it might be available in some future version. However, you may find useful the option to select metadata f...

Re: Simple lookup in subgraph input mapping not working

Hi, In order to resolve your issue please provide me with the following. 1. Your graph with its externalized dependencies (metadata, etc.). Please feel free to remove any sensitive information. 2. Version of your CloverETL Designer. 3. Whole run log containing the error. I need to see the whole stac...

Re: Using arithmetic ( addition) in a graph

Hi, The structure of the file prevents direct addition of the SrcAmount values. Each column contains too much information. You need to separate the Src from the SrcAmount. This can be done in a Reformat component using string functions like replace() and split(). I attached an example graph, where y...

Re: Unknown component

Hi, You can have multiple versions (instances) of Java running simultaneously on a single machine. So if you install Java 1.7 ( or 1.8 ), you will be able to upgrade to version 4.x.x. However, these versions are using scripting language CTL2, so it is possible that you may need to rewrite your graph...

Re: How to use Json Extractor when records don't have all the same attributes

Hi, I'm afraid that I don't fully understand what you want to achieve. I understand that the JSON files may have different structure. If the files contain some arrays that may have different number of fields, the solution will be quite easy. You just need to set the corresponding metadata container ...

Re: How to copy all tables from one Oracle database to another without specifying metadata for each individual table

Hi, Probably the most appropriate way is to use the Oracle Data Pump utility. It is able to export/import all Oracle datatypes (metadata) and the content of the tables itself. You can use the SystemExecute (or ExecuteScript) component to execute the Data Pump directly from CloverETL graph (or jobflo...

Re: ExecuteScript evaluating expressions in Bash script.

Hi, I'm not able to reproduce such behavior. The component doesn't execute the script itself, instead, it executes the interpreter (bash in your case) and passes the script to it. So the script should behave the very same way as if executed directly in the shell. In order to resolve your issue provi...

Re: CloverETL EmailSender component incompatible with AWS Simple Email Service (SES).

Hi, According to our developers, there is no SMTP connection validation on the start of a job. However, the issue you are describing may be caused by the fact, that the connection for EmailSender is created at the beginning of the phase in which is this EmailSender located. So if the whole job has o...
