Re: How Many Graphs can run at once in regards to JAVA HEAP MEMORY

Hi Andrew If a single graph has greater memory demands than maximum heap memory limit for the Server, then such graph cannot be successfuly run on said Server. In this situation you can increase the maximal heap memory size, but leave some of your RAM unallocated, and/or optimize your graph, so its ...

Re: Multiple records mapped to fields in single record?

Hi Andrew You could try to increase the 'Fetch size' property of the DBInputTable, so the amount of queries will decrease proportionally. Possibly the fastest way would be getting all of the attributes from the table and assign them to the product via denormalizer, which is capable of joining multip...

Re: Unknown Component Type

Hi impulse Please send me the graph with the mentioned UniversalDataWriter, so I can try to reproduce the issue. Also, I have a couple of additional questions: 1. Which version of the Designer are you using with said server? 2. Have you recently upgraded/downgraded your Server or Designer (if so, fr...

Re: Read and write from Cassandra DB

Hi makokas

Could you please describe in detail how exactly did you add the driver to the project? Also, please provide me with the version number of the Designer and a screenshot of the error message. If a stack trace is available, please send it too.

Thank you.

Best regards

Re: Multiple DBInputTable into a single excel file

Hello iamgillu 1. Of course you can use two DBInputTables but you have to edit the SQL query of each input table, so each of them will fetch one half of the results. You don't want them to fetch exactly same data, as it would be redundant. However the slowdown could be caused by the speed of the int...

Re: Normalizer Cols to Rows

Hi Trainman You need to have the file imported in the project, opening it while it's not added to project will result into an error. However I admit the error message is not correct or understandable. I have created an issue in our bug tracker, for our developers to know about it. So please use some...

Re: Normalizer Cols to Rows

Hi Trainman I have couple of questions regarding your issue with opening the graph. 1. What version of the Designer are you using? 2. Do the graphs you have created yourself open normally? 3. Please provide me with the error log of the Designer, which is located in <your_workspace>/.metadata/.log 4....

Re: Get Subgraph's Parent Graph Name and Properties

Hi Unfortunately there is no CTL function to get the name of parent graph. However it can be done by using parameters. You need to create a parameter in the subgraph (e.g. 'parent_job') and pass the name via input mapping settings. I have attached an example graph + subgraph, so you can see it in ac...

Re: Normalizer Cols to Rows

Hi Trainman I have attached an example graph, which loads some example data based on your inquiry. It contains the Normalizer component, which is set the way you want. The CTL code it contains is commented, for you to be able to easily understand what it does. Part of this code also replaces null va...

Re: Job Control - launching many sub jobs

Hi Pintail I have created a sample jobflow for you. It consists of 2 graphs and another jobflow. It's created in 4.1.0 Designer and tested on 4.1.0 Server. I have also tried to reproduce your issue, with no success. If you need more assistance, please send me your files (the main jobflow with its ch...

Re: Best Approach for Generating Export File

Hi Andrew Generaly these kinds of situations are handled by having two identificators, first (ID for example) is identical for both, the Product and all of its ProductVariations, the second one (SKU for example) is unique for each ProductVariant. This way you can easily keep track of the SKUs via jo...

Re: create record structure within CTL2 code

Hi If the record type means what we call metadata then it is not possible. You can do it by creating metadata by wizard in the Designer and use it to define a record in CTL2. Also it is not possible to create your own data type (vector), but you may try to use a map data type instead. It is capable ...

Re: Lookup with non exact match

Hi Virag Based on what you want to achieve, putting the decription into lookup table is more convenient, because you want to search the description for a brand. However you don't need to use lookup tables at all. It would be easier to have two data flows, both ending up in a cross join component, wh...

Re: Error Connecting Postgre

Hello Just to be sure, add a port number to the URL: jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/Demo Check your firewall settings, to make sure it isn't blocking your connection, eventualy you could set an exception for CloverETL Designer and check your database server settings. Also reading the DB server log...
