Re: How to enable TLS 1.2

Jus, I have found out that an upgrade to Java 8 (both CloverETL Designer and CloverETL Server) should help you as Java 8 uses TLSv1.2 as the default. However, you should know that we officially support Java 8 since version 4.1. We do not test your version 4.0 with Java 8. Our developers are actively...

Re: ComplexDataReader not working in server.

There are no implications. You can install the JDK separately and use it just for the application server, you do not have to replace your original JRE installation. JDK is the recommended option for CloverETL so you do not have to worry about any incompatibility or anything else.

Re: How to enable TLS 1.2

Hi Jus, The mentioned instructions would work only if you tried to connect to CloverETL Server using TLS. If you want to connect to a third party service from a CloverETL graph, you have to add -Dhttps.protocols=TLSv1.2 as a JVM property to 3 places: 1) For CloverETL Server, add the property to JAVA...

Girish,

do you suffer from a certificate issue or suggesting what might be the cause? If you are getting the certificate error, post the full stack trace of the error, please.

Re: ComplexDataReader not working in server.

Versions of CloverETL Designer and CloverETL Server have to match perfectly. If they don't, unexpected issues may appear. I assume you use JRE with your CloverETL Server and JDK with Designer. ComplexDataReader requires JDK by default so this might be the cause of your troubles. If you use JDK with ...

Re: Could be possible with ComplexDataReader?

Hi,

Can you please share how the output file would look like for the mentioned input file? I mean not just the metadata structure but all data records. I am not sure what values you would like to see in some of the fields.

Thanks.

Re: access a Dictionary in Java

Hi, The common syntax in CTL would look like this: dictionary.myEntry["retry"] = "myValue"; When you type this into a CTL editor, you have an option to convert your CTL code into Java code, see the screenshot. convert.png Converting the CTL code above, you will get the following:...

Re: HTTP Connector and session length

Hi impulse,

Could you please share your graph with me? Delete any sensitive information like passwords, of course. I would like to see how you handle the redirect in CloverETL. Also, could you please show me the full HTTP response (with all headers and everything) of the redirect?

Thanks.

Re: Change the path Email Reader writes attachments to?

In case of reader components, discrete is a type of processing of value from the input field, see Input Port Reading. It basically means that value from the input field is directly parsed and read as if it was read from a file.

In case of writers, the meaning is similar - Output Port Writing.

Re: What's the best wait to halt a graph if a certain component returns no rows/results?

If this is the case, I recommend splitting the two streams into separate graphs. Then you can orchestrate them using a jobflow and send values between them using either parameters or temp files (depending on size of the data transferred).

Re: Change the path Email Reader writes attachments to?

Hi pintail,

See the attached graph. You can not choose the filename and location directly in EmailReader but you can send attachments via the second output port to UniversalDataReader and save them there.

I hope this helps.
