Re: File Comparison Graph - Outputting 2 rows for each row read.

And i forgot my favorite component: InterSection... So simple, and i forgot it... I love it... Less complex than the others... clover_compare_intersect_graph.png Anyhow, data comparing can be pretty simple, few component, and no coding. For some reason, i'm a fan of the DeDup, and i use it even its ...

Re: File Comparison Graph - Outputting 2 rows for each row read.

3rd solution, a bit different. Now i use the 'Combine' component. I think its relative less used component, but can great if you like to compare two (or more) dataset, when you know some 'primary key' is the same in booth case. Example: you want to compare 'old' invoicing system invoice results with...

Re: File Comparison Graph - Outputting 2 rows for each row read.

Solution 2: DeDup, but with keep: 'First' + some little code: clover_coampare_sol2_graph.png First we load the datas (files) same as in the previous, Gather them to one, and DeDup (key: key(a);title(a);value(a)). In the out0, we get the 'single' items (4row), in the out1 we get the what is 'dedupped...

Re: File Comparison Graph - Outputting 2 rows for each row read.

Hi Rodrigo, I'm pretty sure, other members provide better solution than me (as i think, the ideal and universal solution is loop thru the data fields, and compare them, or similar, and not 'fixed' solutions). Also, solutions can depend on what is means exactly 'same data' or 'similar data', etc. Eg....

Re: Connecting to Mircrosoft Access ODBC

Some hint/tip (from the past). 1.) As i remember, may (just may) you don't need to have rights for the sysobject. (but you cant browse tables, forms may not work at all, etc.) But may if you type the sql select or whatever manually (no table browsing) may works. 2.) Open the file in MSAccess, and so...

Re: Populate parent IDs

Hello Gents, I also add a little different approach => what if the 'levels' is unknown amount? First i create one solution what is practically is the same as Vladi solution (what is the most cleanest and fast solution). And below that i add another solution, what handle in theory the case of unknown...

Re: Question regarding Normalizer

Hello Gents, I like to add 'another' way of solution with Rollup component. * in Clover is pretty usual to archive the goal in many ways. Vladi solution (what is just simple and perfect) also in the attached Graph, i add SimpleCopy to feed the additional Rollup component. Note: Rollup a little bit m...

Re: Pull Underlined Text With Spreadsheet Reader

My add-on note not exactly how to do it (as i guess, by default its may not works), but a little trick about Excel vs. Underline... Because whatever method you try to decide the underline, may you need take care of one little bit... 1st: underline is not Boolean , but some 'style' value. Like Underl...

Re: How to use a lookup

I write the followings more-or-less from my memory, so may i made some typo mistake. The following describe in main points the case, if you want to get multiple fields data back from lookup. I write some 'exchange_rate' sample with currency, etc. Ok, create first a Lookup. SQL Query: select * from s...

Re: How to use a lookup

Hi, Its a little bit unclear what you want to archive. May a little bit clearer description can help. What lookup type you use? DBLookup? Note: as far as i remember, for dblookup the 'where x.something = something2' may look like: 'where x.something = ?', and the Question mark is replaced by the val...

Data Inspector - Copy with Header?

Hello, I like to ask, can once add to the Data Inspector a 'Copy' function with 'Header' info also? Note: I know, we have lot of writers, i use the SpreadsheetDataWriter a lot. But lot of cases, just ad-hoc data copy needed for debugging, and in the case of with 20-100 column i really miss the colum...
