Re: Word Documents

Hi Amaiolo, unfortunately, there is currently no built-in component that would allow for reading Word documents out-of-the-box. However, it should be feasible by leveraging our CustomJavaComponent in combination with Apache POI . This way you can program your own Word reader component and use it in ...

Re: How to adjust length and scale of decimal datatype?

Hi there, the length and scale can be changed: ⋅ by editing the metadata (CloverDX Designer > Outline pane > Metadata), ⋅ in the Metadata Wizard, click on the desired decimal-type field, ⋅ locate the 'Length' and 'Scale' properties in the grid on the right, ⋅ ...

Re: GC overhead limit exceeded

Hello, the "GC overhead limit reached" exception is typically thrown because the amount of live data barely fits into the Java heap having little free space for new allocations. A more in-depth explanation can be found in this article in the Oracle Java Documentation . To make the long sto...

Re: Dynamically create MS Access tables in a graph

Hi Dahb, I am not quite sure what you meant by your question. If you don't mind I would like to clarify a couple of details: ⋅ By dynamically creating tables, did you mean using the dynamic metadata functionality in CloverDX? Please note that the concept of dynamic metadata was greatly imp...

Re: How to use the median function

Hi there,
to be able to use the median function, it is necessary to normalize the data first before they flow into Aggregate. I have attached a simple example of how this can be done using the Normalizer component.

Re: Do not use Custom Hava Component?

Hi Sergey, generally speaking, the only noticeable overhead caused by using CustomJavaComponent (versus using in-built components) is the extra computing resources needed for the class file creation. In other words, the Java code needs to be compiled into bytecode before it can be executed (interpre...

Re: Generate dynamic metadata

Hello Ram, what we refer to as "dynamic metadata" in CloverDX is basically a concept where the metadata structure is extracted from a result of an SQL query. In other words, the concept of dynamic metadata (aka SQL query metadata) works with database table structures. However, there is no ...

Re: SOAP API Documentation

Hello Paul, I am afraid that there is no detailed documentation on the SOAP API feature out there (besides the official CloverDX online documentation , of course). The reason for this is that the SOAP API has been designed primarily for the Designer-Server communication. Although this feature has be...

Re: How to create empty list in CTL2

Hi Mukunku, there are a handful of other options how to do that (see the attached graph). However, the fundamental question is why you would need to create such a list. As our documentation describes , a list is empty by default. If you could elaborate more on why you consider creating a list with s...

Hi Rodrigofrb and Andras, first of all, I would like to thank Andras for the effort to provide a lot of different approaches to this data challenge. Your input is much appreciated. Re: PROBLEMS with LookupJoin Component

Hi S.Alex.Johnson, both of those errors indicate a problem with the inconsistency of the lookup source data and the respective metadata used. Re: How to pull input parameters from one jobflow to another

Hi Mohamed,
when you select the checkbox, you need to fill in the parameters manually. Attached is an example. The parameters called ${ONE} and ${TWO} will be pushed to the job4.jbf from the job3.jbf run.
