Re: Errors When Reading From Kafka Topics

Hi Bea95, As discussed via direct email communication, the issue is caused by a bug that affects the Snappy-compressed topics reading. Unfortunately, there is currently no other way to work around this issue but to switch the topic compression to gzip. This bug is going to be fixed in version 5.11. ...

Re: Passing message content to graph when using the Kafka Event Listener

Hi Bea95, The Kafka Message Listener is basically really only listening for a new message. It is not committing any read action and basically not really reading the message. The reading action itself needs to be done in the job that is executed by the listener. Therefore, when you start reading from...

Re: How to do lists with MySQL native-ish-ly

Hi uykusuZzZz, It appears the MySQL database does not support any type of list containers or similar. That is why it doesn't work if you try to insert a CloverDX list into the database. As this is a limitation of the MySQL database there is nothing we can do from the CloverDX side to make this work ...

Re: tls not available

Hi Richard, I'm just filling in the response from the CloverCARE ticket. The temporary resolution is to: "Navigate into the CloverDX Server console -> Configuration -> Setup -> Email and add an "Additional property" - name = mail.smtp.starttls.enable / value = false. When the property...

Re: tls not available

Hi Richard, I noticed you have a ticket with the same issue opened in the CloverCARE Customer Portal, so if you agree, due to the high priority, I'd suggest to continue solving the issue there. In general, sending a ticket via the CloverCARE Customer Portal or an email to [email protected].com is usu...

Re: "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine"

Hi, I'm going to deputize for George on this one. I went through all the information in this topic and through your graph. From what I've seen, it appears you might be running out of memory during the runtime of your graph which in turn causes the Runtime to stop responding. Memory consumption of ea...

Re: Import 3rd party jars into CloverDX

Hi, I'm not sure what screenshots I can provide to be of any help as I'm not working on a MacOS X machine so there would be great differences in the usage of the script. If you have issues with adapting the script to MacOS, as far as I know, you should be only required to add "#!/bin/sh" a...

Re: Import 3rd party jars into CloverDX

Hi, Even though there is no native support for these tools in CloverDX software, you can use them externally to import all the dependencies. You need to have a pom.xml file which is used to download the libraries in a Maven project, containing all the needed dependencies. The idea is to use this pom...

Re: Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) - Logic Export

Hi Alex, The details are being discussed with Jay via email but let me try to explain shortly. You can indeed export only the visual part of any job and you can also export an HTML representation of it which is more detailed, however, neither of these options let you manipulate the content of the jo...

Re: Read in a line of text into each record

Hi Paul, Yes, the devil is in the details. The issue was that you defined the "\n" as the field delimiter while you really need it as the record delimiter. That's why the parser complained about too many fields, etc. So you you need to set the record delimiter to "\n" and the fie...

Re: How to write custom aggregate function

Hi, First of all, the open source engine is officially not supported and also discontinued, version 5.1.1 is the latest ever to be released. However, here are some hints. 1. Denormalizer is definitely a cleaner way in terms of not altering the source code. 2. If you need to re-use the Denormalizer a...

Re: How to handle "LF" character.

Hi,

I just found out this is a feature of the metadata configuration as per the documentation. I must admit it's confusing and I didn't know about this feature either. On the other hand, it might be useful for certain corner cases.

Best regards.

Re: Importing Functions from a second Java file

Hi rodrigofrb, I have reviewed your test project and here are my findings. The reason why you weren't able to import the CoolFunctions class is that in Java you cannot import types from an unnamed (default) package . This is the case when you put your *.java files directly into the trans folder. So,...

Re: How to handle "LF" character.

Hi, I'm not sure if you're aware of that functionality but you can actually extract metadata from the input file . I did exactly that on your input file and it works flawlessly. Attached is an example graph that works with your file. You can test it in your environment and compare it to your graph. ...

Re: How to handle "LF" character.

Okay, basically, if it's still the same error: "Unexpected record delimiter, probably record has too few fields.", it means there's a mismatch in the expected number of fields and the actual number of fields coming from the input file. Can you please attach an example input file that cause...
