Re: Dynamic Join/Sort keys

Thank you for the response. This will work in most cases except for one, at least currently (we think). Just a note up front, we dont have the ability to run jobflows as our server license is not at that level. Second, my most recent post alludes to one point related to your response. We would like ...

Reference dynamic metadata in CTL

Is it possible to reference dynamic metadata in CTL? It looks like the code to declare the metadata in CTL is: <metadataname> mymetadata; in which metadataname is the value in the "name" field on the "Record" tag in metadata. However, in dynamic metadata, there is not a record ta...

Dynamic Join/Sort keys

Hello again- Is there a way to pass the join/sort keys as dictionary values? I can probably accomplish what I am trying to do if I take my graph and run it through a "Run Graph" component, but I am trying to avoid that is possible. What I am trying to accomplish is to generate the text of ...

Re: Dynamic metadata with unknown column type

Awesome this is good news.

FWIW the View approach suits a separate need and we went with that for now. Thank you for the follow-up!

Dynamic metadata with unknown column type

Hello- We are having an issue with generating a dynamic metadata structure using "select * from [table] limit 1" (Using Postgres) however one of the columns is of ARRAY type and cannot be mapped. Is there a way to tell the graph to default unknown datatypes to string? We are trying to avoi...

Clover server no access to "Local Files"

We have a recent installation of Clover Server and when migrating some jobs to test we noticed we do not have access to the "Local Files" tab in UniversalDataReader. Can you help with this? We have the installation on CentOS which was not a standard installation so we want to make sure som...

Postgres Driver and Serial data type

Hello- We are having an issue using the postgres driver when the column data type is serial. We have a situation where we insert values into a serial column in order like "insert into [table] (serial_col) values (1),(2),(3),(4)" and that works fine. However when the DBInputTable component ...

Re: if statement in in Reformat

please disregard as I have solved this. The correct way to apply this in a transformer is with an "iff" statement:

iff($in.0.foo >= 2, bar,$in.0.foo);

hope that helps anyone else.

if statement in in Reformat

Are "if" statements possible to be used in the Reformat? when I try to use: if ($in.0.foo > 2) {bar} else {$in.0.foo}; it says "Syntax error on token 'if'". And when I however over the red x it says "Syntax error on token 'if' HINT: Delete token"; Are you limited to onl...

2 digit Date conversion

Hello- I am having an issue with 2 digit date conversion with respect to the Year. It looks like the default conversion is 20 plus, 80 years minus the current date and then use the relative current century. This does not work with the Birthdate format in question as we are working with an elderly po...

Re: Output with no metadata

Thank for the reply and that definitely help the first part of my scenario. Is there a way to have the subsequent steps be triggered by the finishing of the DBExecute step? I probably could write something to a logging table and have the next steps start after a field is updated or the like, but tha...

Output with no metadata

Hello- This is a very newbie question but I cannot seem to figure it out (There also may be a better way to do it). I need to run a series of commands on a table (truncates) before starting any process in the database. Currently I am trying to do this through a DBExecute and pass to a SimpleCopy to ...
