Re: Excel locale-dependent cell formatting

Thank you again. I guess you will get the difference if you set system locale to Russian during working with the sheet in Excel. Now you have the locale that is much like English. Russian name of January is "Январь". Set any locale to see anything except "January" in the cell, &q...

Re: Excel locale-dependent cell formatting

ОК, I will do my best. Our task is data visualizing. The data is entered by the users via Excel files and then prepared by Clover Sheet structure is Title Var1 Var2 etc Title can be any string while VarN is number, but Vars do not matter in this topic. As everyone got used with Excel, there are diff...

Re: Excel locale-dependent cell formatting

Thank you for reply. It is an obvious workaround. But the users that fill the data in MS Excel do not have the option to code Reformat :) and I cannot make them use some complex cell tuning instead of simple and well-known cell formatting. In my case it can be date, integer, float, formula etc and I...

Excel locale-dependent cell formatting

For example let us have date cell with format mm.YYYY or mmm.YYYY of value 1st january 2014 When i save my document it displays 01.2014 or Янв.2014 Anyway when I read string values at the same(!) machine i get 01/2014 or Jan/2014 What can affect this and how can I vary this regardless of any setting...

Re: Code to pass file names into metadata from data reader

Please help me I used to always use source_name and sheet_name in metadata for excel files, but past source codes are unreacheable, it was 2 years ago. Now I've changed direct file name setting from ${data_in}\1.xls to port:$0.Field1:source and source_name autofilling stopped working, while sheet_na...

XML reader questions

1. I have a DB structure where ID is a separate field and the field with XML details does not contain that ID in its content. How can I make sure that the ID is not missed while processing XML? This can happen because the ID should be split to another data flow and then merged back with difficulties...

XLSWriter memory problems solving

I need to export ~150K records * 27 fields into xlsx and face problems at ~130K with heap of 10G size. I've partitioned output but still have problem because all writes are at the same phase, it's was not the problem of single file as I supposed. But if partitions are sorted and compact, is it possi...

Fast sort loses records

Fast sort components has been caught in losing records. Simply out-records count is less than in-count. Ratio is about 0.5% (about 10^6 records processed and about 5000 lost). Circumsances are foreign key violations and graph fail.

It's very bad for commercial components. Clover version is 3.1.2 x64.

Re: Directory/file listing

i've found one
to write a java class with java.io support for DataGenerator
never ever thought it would be so easy

so can you tell me the way to debug a java transformation class in graph?
and is there any method to set the generated record count in runtime (i.e. class) - if i need a list of files?

Directory/file listing

Hello all! Is there any way to scan a directory for a /new/ files to process them then with readers. Excluding old files is my problem, i only describe context. I want to omit a step when user picks a file from a date-based shared directory and puts it to certain place in Clover project Can I? Thanks!

Re: Staged incremental reading and writing

working method is some kind of hack
i use incremental file as a parameter file (and it's lazy because primary graph was based on params) then at the end i update file with query in incremental way
is it legal and will it (i.e. same incremental and parameter format) work on future releases?
